How do I sign up for lessons?

Fill this form to be contacted by our coach to receive instructions and schedule the lesson.

Do you offer online or in-person classes?

We offer both online and in-person classes but currently, only online classes are available due to COVID-19.

How long do lessons last?

Lessons last for a minimum of one hour.

How often do you recommend kids practice chess to improve?

We recommend having at least 3 to 4 hours of coaching a week.

What is the earliest age to start attending lessons?

A student may start as early as 8 years old.

Can a parent participate in a class with a student?

Yes.

Is F7 Chess Club only for kids?

No, our club is open for anyone including kids, adults, and seniors.

How do I pay?

We're currently setting up a user portal to enable our club members and students to pay online, schedule lessons, and manage membership. For now, payments are accepted through Paypal.

Do you have family discounts?

Yes, each additional member of the same family is eligible for a 20% discount for classes.

How are online classes held?

We use the latest platforms, such as Discord and Zoom, to host online classes.

What equipment do I need to start participating at F7 Chess Club?

You will need a laptop or desktop MacOs or PC (Windows 7 and above) with a working webcam and mic and stable internet connection.

Do you host tournaments?

Yes, we host non-rated tournaments internally and rated tournaments for public.

What do I need to participate in rated chess tournaments?

A membership with the US Chess Federation.

Do I have to be a member of F7 Chess Club to participate in tournaments?

No, you don’t have to have be an F7 Chess Club member to participate in our tournaments. However, as a member, you will receive a 50% discount to cub rated tournaments and get free access to internal tournaments.

What languages are lessons held in?

Our coaches can lecture in both English and Russian languages.
